1,2-dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DOPC)
DOPC, also known as 18:1 (Δ9-Cis) PC, is a phospholipid that contains unsaturated oleic acid (18:1) at the sn-1 and sn-2 positions. DOPC is a neutral helper lipid that has been shown to promote more stable laminar structures in LNPs and other drug delivery systems. Phosphatidylcholines (PCs), also referred to as neutral lipids, form the exterior layer of the delivery system.
